Welcome

I’m Vimalkumar Velayudhan (Vimal)
— an independent software developer living in Cork, Ireland.

I develop software, teach programming, and write articles featuring Linux and open source software.

Previously, I worked in research groups and have contributed in the development of scientific software. Publications including my work can be found on ORCID.

I am part of the UCC Indian Alumni Community and I manage the community website.

I like using Linux on my computers, and have been doing so for a long time (Redhat 9, Knoppix 3 days). Feel free to get in touch with me if you need help in getting started with Linux and open source software. I organised Linux meetups in Cork (2017-2018).
